Sustainability

We are committed to implementing sustainability attributes at all stages of the project lifecycle, seeking human comfort, improved construction practices, and reduced maintenance.

How do we do it?

Company sustainability

We seek to measure indicators and create strategies to meet the company's internal requirements or legal requirements, such as a sustainable mobility plan, sustainability indicators, and an annual sustainability report.

Project sustainability

We seek to ensure sustainability in all phases of our projects: design, construction, and operation through a variety of services.

Analysis and consulting in bioclimatic design

Bioclimatic design includes an assessment of the local climate and the implementation of the project based on an analysis of different aspects that allow the project design team to impact the reduction of thermal discomfort or the optimization of energy use and indoor environmental quality, and paves the way for certification of projects in sustainable construction.

Aspects for analysis and evaluation

  • Solar incursion
  • Volumetry
  • Compactness
  • Orientation
  • A window-wall relationship suitable for the climate
  • The study of façade shading scenarios
  • Thermodynamic characteristics of materials
  • Determining natural ventilation areas of the building

Sustainability Service

Analysis of sustainability attributes

Together with sustainability and network professionals, criteria and parameters are proposed to enable efficiencies in areas associated with the project's energy and water savings. Recommendations are provided to be considered when developing network designs (electrical and hydraulic systems).

Aspects for analysis and evaluation

  • Use of rainwater for toilets and irrigation of green areas.

  • Reuse of grey water.

  • Use of water-saving sanitary appliances and faucets.

  • Control systems for lighting and lighting type.

  • Possible use of photovoltaic systems

Sustainability Service

Passive energy rehabilitation

Development of a diagnostic that allows for the design and evaluation of solutions to generate better living conditions and comfort for users. Its objective is to reduce or maximize (depending on the climate) thermal gain through an on-site analysis of the construction characteristics of existing buildings, delivering a thermal/energy model developed using specialized software.

Aspects for analysis and evaluation

  • Materiality in façade, wall enclosures, openings and roof (thermal transmittance, thermal resistance).

  • Orientation (facades more exposed to solar radiation or the lack of it, depending on the climate, facades with potential for natural ventilation and better use of natural light).

Management and support in Sustainable Construction Certification

Housing Certification

Developed by the Colombian Sustainable Construction Council, this is a user-centered housing certification system that recognizes sustainable and healthy projects and incorporates the concept of comprehensive sustainability. It highlights best practices from leading urban planning and sustainable housing companies, proving to be technically and economically viable for low-income and low-income projects, and contributes to the development of the project's business plan.

Construction Certification

Edge (Design Excellence for Greater Efficiencies) is the green building certification system for emerging markets created by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. Certification can be obtained for buildings that meet water, energy, and embodied energy savings parameters.

Efficiency certification

LEED® (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is the world's most widely used certification system for the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of sustainable buildings. By using less energy, LEED-certified spaces save families and businesses money, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to healthy environments for residents, workers, and the community at large.
