Conconcreto's BIM training center is Autodesk's eighth ATC in Colombia.
- Conconcreto's BIM training center, a face-to-face training ecosystem, has received Autodesk ATC certification.
- The Autodesk Authorized Training Center (ATC) Program aims to support companies in training and provide comprehensive learning experiences, as well as certification for Autodesk product users.
- Benefits include subscriptions to genuine Autodesk products and training services.
Bogotá, July 2022According to Camacol, the sector generates one in five jobs in the country, equivalent to 1,6 million direct jobs and 2,7 million indirect jobs. Recognizing that in addition to generating a large number of jobs, industry professionals must also be trained in trends and meet the highest standards of innovation and quality, Conconcreto continues to strengthen its BIM Training Center, a learning space where technical modeling and drawing skills are developed within the framework of the BIM (building information modeling) methodology.
This training space has received certification as an Autodesk Learning Partner and Training Center. Being an ATC allows us access to Autodesk Learning Central (ALC), which contains hundreds of online courses, as well as the ability to attend virtual classrooms and register for various events, including industry-oriented information sessions. With this certification, the BIM training center strengthens its alliance and closeness with Autodesk, achieving greater access to high-quality software, tools, and training materials from the manufacturer, such as e-courses, customized enablement channels, personalized learning paths, credential maintenance, and Train the Trainer courses.
Other benefits include access to Autodesk Learning, access to the training evaluation system and performance reports, access to a database of product training partners and the ability to obtain product certification, digital badges, the ability to obtain an Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI), and public listing in the partner locator.
It's worth remembering that one of the BIM Training Center's goals is to generate employability opportunities for young people through new knowledge. It also emphasizes strengthening soft skills that enable students' optimal development, both academically and in future careers and entrepreneurship.
Regarding this, Juan Carlos Velásquez, BIM trainer, stated: "We want to transfer all of the company's experience in project digitalization using the BIM methodology and, through practical experience, share it with the young people in training. Through technical knowledge, students gain the ability to generate BIM models using best practices, properly documenting a project, and generating 3D diagrams using specialized, industry-certified software."
It is projected that by 2022, a total of 150 students will be trained annually at the BIM Training Center.
