About the project:
This project included the construction of the civil works for the capture and conduction of the Rio Grande River and the ancillary works at the exits of the Niquia and Tasajera tunnels. The project has two purposes: 1. Water for the Aburrá Valley aqueduct. It includes a treatment plant with a flow rate of 5 cubic meters per second for the first stage, and an additional flow of 3 cubic meters for the second stage. 2.6. Power generation; the plants will collectively generate 3 megawatts, in addition to greater distribution of the Medellín River's waters.
